Liebe Leser:innen,
vom 30.08-17.09.22 waren wir in Form einer Delegation aus 8 Personen in der Autonomen Region Kurdistan. Insgesamt konnten dank der Hilfsbereitschaft der Spender:innen Hilfsgüter im Wert von 22.439 € an die Bedürftigen verteilt werden.
Zwecks Bestimmung der Bedarfe wurden zuvor Einblicke in diverse Camps in den Städten Hewler, Dohuk und der Umgebung eingeholt.
Nach intensiver Auswertung der örtlichen Gegebenheiten entschieden wir uns, die Spendengelder wie folgt zu verwenden:
– 1200 Rucksäcke inklusive Federmappe, Stifte, Schreibhefte, Lineal, Radiergummi und Anspitzer
– 1200 Spielsachen (Fußbälle und Springseile)
Einblicke in den Verlauf der Spendenaktion können jederzeit auf Instagram aufgerufen und verfolgt werden (@komciwan.eu ).
Wir bedanken uns im Namen der Hilfsbedürftigen sehr für eure Unterstützung, ohne diese wäre die Spendenaktion nicht möglich gewesen.
Zum einen konnte den Kindern dank der Hilfsgüter eine Riesenfreude bereitet werden. Zum anderen wurde ein Gefühl der Empathie, der Solidarität und der Zuversicht vermittelt. Auf die Missstände in den Geflüchtetencamps muss aufmerksam gemacht werden, um sie aktiv bekämpfen zu können.
Wir als Komciwan wollen uns dieser Aufgabe stellen und diese Verantwortung weiterhin übernehmen!
Doch wie geht es jetzt weiter? Herzlichst geben wir kund, dass die Spendenaktion hiermit nicht beendet ist. Es ist uns bewusst, dass es vor Ort noch viele Missstände und Bedarf an Unterstützung gibt.
Für das Folgejahr sind also bereits neue Projekte in Aussicht.
Unsere Mitglieder sind motiviert und freuen sich darauf, die Bevölkerung vor Ort tatkräftig mit neuen Ideen unterstützen zu dürfen.

Dear readers,
From 30th August – 17th September 2022 we were in the form of a delegation of 8 people in the autonomous region of Kurdistan. Thanks to the helpfulness of the donors, a total of 22.439 € worth of relief goods could be distributed to the people in need.
For the purpose of determining the needs, prior insights were obtained in various camps in the cities of Hewler, Dohuk and the surrounding area.
After intensive evaluation of the local conditions we decided to use the donations as follows:
– 1200 backpacks including pencil cases, pencils, notebooks, ruler, eraser and sharpener.
– 1200 toys (footballs and skipping ropes)

On behalf of those in need of help, we thank you very much for your support, without which the fundraiser would not have been possible.
On the one hand, thanks to the relief supplies, the children could be given a huge joy. On the other hand, a feeling of empathy, solidarity and confidence was conveyed. Attention must be drawn to the bad conditions in the refugee camps so that they can be actively combated.
We as Komciwan want to face up to this task and continue to take this responsibility!
But how do we go on now? We would like to inform you that this is not the end of the fundraising campaign. We are aware that there are still many problems and a need for support.
New projects are already in the pipeline for the following year.
Our members are motivated and look forward to supporting the local population with new ideas.
